Basic Course Laser Therapy for Veterinarians & Animal Physiotherapists
This course has been specially developed for veterinarians and animal physiotherapists who want to gain more knowledge of Laser Therapy.
The course is a perfect solution for people who are going to work with the High Power Laser or who are considering it. After this Basic Course you will be able to get the most out of your High Power Laser. The course consists of a theoretical and practical part.
The following topics are covered during the course:
- What is the effect of a High Power Laser?
- How Does Laser Therapy Work?
- Laser therapy treatments:
- Wound / scar treatment
- Skin issues
- Tendon, ligament and joint injuries
- Muscle injuries, tears and increased muscle tone
- Promotion of recovery after orthopedic surgery
- Back and neck complaints
- Peripheral nerve damage
- Acute and chronic inflammatory reactions and pain
- Strain and sprain of joints
- Poorly healing wounds and wounds in “difficult” areas
- Scar adhesions
- Bruises and bruises
- Muscle pain after heavy loads and overworked muscles
During the course you will receive a manual with a reference book of all the information that you will be offered during the course. The course is based on scientific and practical information.
Quite a bit of knowledge of Anatomy and Biomechanics is required.
Course costs per participant: € 225 excl. VAT and incl. lunch. When registering as a group of 3 participants you will receive a discount of 10%. If you purchase a laser, the course fee will be refunded.
Duration: Half a day
The maximum group size is 6 participants, so that we can comply with the Covid-19 measures and guarantee personal attention.
It is not mandatory to have your own High Power Laser to participate.
The course is taught by an industry professional with extensive knowledge of laser therapy.
During the course, someone from the HPLT team is present for questions and more information. If you are interested in purchasing a High Power Laser, we can also advise you which laser is suitable for you and we can make a competitive offer for you.

Matthijs graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht in 2011 and has been working as a recognized equine doctor since 2016.
